I had planned to share some photos of my home office/studio today. After all, it’s almost the end of January and I resolved to work on finishing up the design of my office/studio in January. No matter how much I love design, there are times in life that it just doesn’t seem important. This month has been one of those times for me. I think that since I don’t have twelve space to focus on, I’m going to let the office/studio run over into February.
In the mean time, I thought it might be fun to share some fabulous furniture inspiration. One of my Pinterest boards is entitled “Furniture.” It may seem a bit odd to devote an entire board to furniture. But I’ve always had a love for great furniture. In fact one of my design boards in college was for a furniture store that I wanted to own. In this shop I was going to sell repurposed and updated pieces. I love to find old pieces and bring them up to date. All you need is a piece with good bones. Paint or new fabric can work wonders. I am always on the hunt for something that I can fix up. Unfortunately, I’ve only had two side of the road finds so far.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces of inspiration:
You can check out more of my inspiration on my Furniture board at Pinterest. I discovered when writing this post that many of my pins are repins that don’t link to original sources or are pins of new pieces no longer available in stores. Sorry about that. Now if I could just find a great source for old untouched pieces. I used to have one in my home town but they closed several years ago and I haven’t found anything as good. Have you painted or reupholstered any furniture in your home?
