Lately…

How was your weekend? I had a lovely one. I actually got out of Oklahoma City and went up to visit my mother. It was a beautiful day for a drive and it was really nice to get out of the city. I think I needed some time on the open road.

Reading… The Miracle Morning. I think I first heard an interview with Hal Elrod on The Lively Show. His story was very inspiring. I was very intrigued by his miracle morning concept to I bought the book. I’m not sure that the book offers much more than his interviews and website, but I have been gradually adding in his S.A.V.E.R.S. practices into my morning and find myself being more productive on the days that I do.

Listening… The Lively Show with John & Sherry Petersik. I was a follower of John & Sherry’s blog, Young House Love, for years. I found myself fascinated by this podcast interview. They talk about why they decided to walk away from their successful blog and what they’ve been up to since. It really made me think a lot about this blog and where I want to go with it.

Eating… at Callahan’s Pub & Grille. While looking online for a new (to me) restaurant to try out in Enid, I came across Callahan’s. Mom and I checked it out Saturday. I was surprised when Mom told me that she and Daddy used to eat their years ago (maybe even before I was born). In keeping with my continuing British love-fest, I had the Shepherd’s Pie. Yum.

Loving… Marled Hi-Lo Sweater from Loft. I used to have a teal blue sweater from Target that I absolutely loved. It was looking so worn, I got rid of it a couple of winters ago. I have been on the lookout for a replacement ever since. I think this one will do nicely (and not wear as fast).

Trying… 5-0 Police Radio Scanner app. There was quite a bit of police helicopter activity in my neighborhood last week. Usually I can find out what’s going on by checking out Nextdoor. Someone asked about it, but nobody knew the answer. There was a suggestion to download this app for any future occasions. I had no there was an app for that!

What have you been up to lately?
