How was your weekend? The weather here was PERFECT! Fall makes me so happy.
Reading…The Truth According to Us. I was excited to see that the author of my favorite, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, has a new book out – and even more excited that the library had it available on Kindle. I’m not very far into it, but am enjoying it so far. The main character is a young girl; it reminds me of Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird.
Watching… The Voice. I binge-watched the performances of the first four episodes over the weekend (I fast-forwarded through all the extra stuff). As usual, there’s a lot of talent. I look forward to seeing where things go. If I had the talent to be on the show and get a four-chair turn, I would totally pick Pharrell as my coach.
Eating… Mr. Pho. I don’t think I’ve ever written about one of my absolute favorite places to eat. I’m not a big Pho eater; I always get the Vietnamese Vermicelli (the #138 to be exact). Yum!
Wanting… Black Tunic/Dress. I have been on the lookout for a black tunic that I can layer with leggings and different sweaters this fall and winter. I think this dress may work; I hate that the website doesn’t say what the fabric is. Loft had a super sale this weekend so I ordered one. I hope it’s cotton and that it works out; it could be perfect.
Loving… Skeleton Cat. I was not planning to buy any Halloween decorations this year, but I couldn’t resist picking up one of these cats at Target. The picture does not do it justice. My sister got these witch legs for my mom; I would love to have some of those too for my big flower pots in the front. I love decorating for Halloween!
What have you been up to lately?
