Lately…

Reading… The Good Goodbye. I just began reading this so I don’t really have an opinion yet or even anything to share about it. It’s supposed to be a good thriller – something I’m always interested in.

Watching… Me Before You. I was thrilled when I heard that one of my favorite books was going to be made into a movie. I was worried it would be out of the theaters before I made it to see it, but I managed to catch it before it was gone. As usual, the movie didn’t quite live up to the book, but I really enjoyed it all the same. And it was true enough to the story that I was doing the ugly cry by the end.

Listening to… The Precious One. I’m not sure where I first learned of this book but it was on my “to read” list. Unfortunately, all my library reserves became available at the same time and I was not able to get to it. The wait list was incredibly long so when I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook I decided to take that route. This is the story of two sisters, the oldest became estranged from their father when the youngest was a baby so they never got to know each other. A family health scare brings them together. The book alternates between being narrated by the two sister, the audiobook is even narrated by two different women (a first in my audiobook history). I really enjoyed this one.

Loving… TuneIn (Premium). I was so excited to discover TuneIn last week and suspect I may be late to the game. I believe I’d heard of it, but had no idea what all the service has to offer. For $7.99 month, the premium version offers various radio stations, radio programs, podcasts, television audio, and audiobooks.It is all streamed so if you don’t have access to internet it won’t be worth much to you, but with my T-Mobile Music Freedom, I’ve been able to use it nearly everywhere. I’m really impressed with the audio selection as well. I’m a fan!

Eating… Chia Seed. Chia seeds aren’t just for chia pets, they are also a superfood. I tend to rotate between putting chia and flax seed in my morning smoothie. Recently, since I don’t eat dairy, I’ve been a little worried that I might not be getting enough calcium so I’ve been putting two tablespoons in my morning smoothie. Delish!
