I ended up paying $7.22 (plus tax) out of pocket. This trip was not as well planned. I have found if I can write down my intended purchases and their prices minus the coupons, my trip to the store works out better. On this trip, there was a possibility I would purchase Colgate Toothpaste if the price was right. My stockpile of toothpaste is such that I will only purchase it if it works out to be free. I did not know the price of the toothpaste in advance. I had a $1.50 off coupon and the toothpaste was advertised as two for the price of one. If the price had been $1.50/tube, I would have used that coupon. When I was pulling that coupon out of my stack at the checkout, I apparently also pulled my Buy One Get One Clean & Clear coupon which would have made one of my bottles of body wash free; making my out of pocket $4.23. I did receive $14.50 in ExtraCare Bucks plus a $4 off Purchase of $20 or more. It was still a good trip but not as good as I’d hoped.

The biggest problem with CVS is that I wouldn’t be able to get the groceries there; so it would be a hassle to go to CVS and get what I can find, then go to a Jewel an shop again. Do you have a solution for that too??

I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking. You can buy some groceries at CVS. You want to be careful about only buying those that are economical. I’m not familiar with your grocery store. I suggest checking to see if they have a rewards program. The same system I use at CVS can be used at other stores using their rewards programs. I plan to start shopping more at Homeland and using their rewards card.
