I’ve been working on the Etsy store and have added another design. Quatrefoil! I also updated my “Monogramming” picture where I had spelled it wrong – glad I caught that! I also added an ad to the sidebar. What do you think? Is it too distracting?
I finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. It was a little hard for me to get into. The story is told by an autistic boy. I really enjoyed it, but it was kind of hard to be in his head for long periods of time, so I usually read about twenty pages at a time.
I saw One Day this weekend. It was okay, but I liked the book a lot better. I think it might have worked better if they had combined some of the days into one day and maybe not showed each July 15th. It just felt like it moved too quickly. At least one of the days was only one scene. I have read a lot of comparisons between the book and When Harry Met Sally, one of my all-time favorite movies. I didn’t really get that when I was reading the book. But I kept finding myself making comparisons when watching the movie. When Harry Met Sally did a much better job of dealing with the progression of time. In One Day they did this weird thing where the date would appear in random places, like a computer screensaver, I felt like I was always double checking to be sure I didn’t miss a date change; it was distracting.
I started watching John Adams. I’ve heard it’s really good and I’m trying to watch a bunch of DVD’s before I go to streaming only on my Netflix Subscription. I’ve only watched the first episode, but I’m enjoying it so far. The last DVD set I watched was The Big C. It’s kind of funny going from Laura Linney as a modern day woman with cancer, to Abigail Adams.
This week I’m going to add a couple more designs to the store, do some research on other products, and am thinking about making a few changes to the blog.
